The Critical Difference for Women Scholarship program is intended for Ohio women who are returning to college after an extended absence. The program is open to women seeking degrees at the undergraduate, graduate or doctoral levels who are enrolled or planning to enroll at least half-time at Ohio State University. Awards are granted based on academic achievement, educational goals and financial need. Individual scholarship amounts vary and funds may be used towards tuition, books, fees, childcare or travel expenses while the student is completing her education.

The Ohio Newspapers Foundation sponsors the Ohio Newspaper Women's Scholarship for female students who are pursuing degrees in journalism or related fields. Applicants must be in their junior or senior year at an accredited Ohio college or university and be recommended for the award by a member of their program's faculty and another professor outside the major. The $1,500 award is granted to students who demonstrate academic achievement, strong writing skills and a career interest in newspaper journalism.

The Berea chapter of the Business and Professional Women of Ohio sponsors a scholarship award for nontraditional women students attending accredited colleges and universities in North Central Ohio. The $1,000 scholarship award is available to female students over age thirty who are returning to school or enrolling for the first time for the purpose of re-entering the workforce. Applicants must be residents of Cuyahoga, Lorain, or Medina counties and have a demonstrated financial need. The program is open to students at the associate and bachelor degree levels.

The Ohio Women's Bar Association sponsors a $1,000 scholarship award for outstanding Ohio women law students. Applicants must be enrolled at an approved law school and first, second and third-year students may apply. The association will select one female student who demonstrates academic achievement, leadership skills and clearly defined career goals in the law.
