The Hispanic Scholarship Fund sponsors over 30 scholarship and grant programs for Hispanic undergraduate and graduate students. Many programs are offered in collaboration with other organizations, such as General Motors, Verizon Wireless and AT&T. Award amounts vary and applicants must meet individual eligibility requirements for each scholarship.

The AHETEMS Scholarship program is dedicated to the advancement of Hispanic students in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The program provides scholarship awards to Hispanic students at the undergraduate and graduate level who are enrolled in accredited programs in these and related areas. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be considered and individual awards may have additional eligibility requirements.

The Hispanic Women in Leadership Scholarship is available to female Hispanic students planning to enroll in an accredited college or university in Texas. Applicants must be graduating seniors ranked in the top 25 percent of their class and awards are based on academic merit, leadership skills and financial need. The minimum award amount available is $500.

The Gilbert Rios Memorial Award is a $5,000 education grant presented to one male and one female Hispanic undergraduate student annually. The program is designed specifically for students who plan to pursue a graduate or professional degree, excluding doctoral programs. Applicants must be first-generation college students whose household income meets eligiblity criteria. In addition to a 3.0 GPA, applicants must also have completed at least 100 hours of volunteer service in their community.

The Jose Marti Challenge Grant provides financial assistance to Hispanic students who plan to attend accredited colleges and universities inFlorida. The program is open to incoming freshmen as well as currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students; however, selection priority is given graduating high school seniors. Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement and sufficient financial need to be eligible for the $2,000 award.
