Scholarships & Grants for Hispanic Students

Hispanic students are attending college at higher rates than ever, and like all students in the United States, they must confront the high costs of tuition. Minority scholarships geared towards Hispanic students are aimed at strengthening America's future workforce by increasing the number of Spanish-speaking students obtaining college degrees. Prospective applicants of Hispanic grants and scholarships must demonstrate academic excellence, commitment to community service and values that align with those of the awarding foundations.
  1. HIspanic Scholarship Fund

    • The Hispanic Scholarship Fund has awarded approximately $280 million in academic outreach funding, primarily to first-generation college students, since its inception in 1975. Applicants choose from four scholarship programs according to their statuses: undergraduate or graduate students; community college transfer students; prospective undergraduate students; and Gates Millennium Scholars. Students fill out an academic profile online and supplement their application with an official high school or transcript, two letters of recommendation and a Student Aid Report. Eligible applicants must maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average in pursuit of their primary undergraduate or graduate degrees.
