Latino Scholarships & Grants

For students of Hispanic heritage, there are a wide array of organizations and initiatives that cater to high school and college students who want to pursue their careers in various fields. Some of these groups award millions annually to scores of qualified Hispanic students. Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities Scholarship Program

    • College Lecture Hall

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is a consortium of higher-level education institutions that have historically enrolled students of Hispanic origin. Today, the organization represents almost 450 universities and colleges in the United States, Spain, Puerto Rico and Portugal. The organization offers multiple scholarships in a variety of different areas, including marketing, engineering, psychology, and nursing. To be eligible for financial awards, students must attend a HACU Partner or Member college and meet all necessary criteria for the specific program to which they are applying. Fortunately, HACU employs only one general application for the multitude of programs it oversees. Scholarships usually range in amounts between $500 and $2,000 a year. A major drawback, however, is that most of the scholarships are not renewable. Nonetheless, students should apply to the scholarship program that best suits them.
