Hispanic Scholarships for Master's Degrees

Scholarships are an option for Hispanic graduate students who wish to obtain a master's degree. Hispanic master's degree scholarships are constructed to provide financial assistance for Hispanic students who lack the funding needed to complete their training. Scholarships reduce the amount associated with the pursuit of higher education. Hispanic scholarships for master's degrees are limited and can be a bit difficult to find. However, it is possible to locate scholarships that are applicable to your situation if you are willing to search and be patient.
  1. Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF)

    • Master's degree scholarships are available for Hispanic professionals.

      The Hispanic Scholarship Fund is offered to graduate students, current undergraduate, high school seniors and students who have completed community college coursework. In order to qualify you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of Hispanic background. You must also be attending an accredited college or university located in the United States. An accredited institution means that the university or college is recognized by other accredited schools and employers. Candidates who qualify will be chosen by their personal strengths, leadership abilities and academic accomplishments.

    Coors Light Academic Success in Education Award (CLASE)

    • Scholarships allow graduate students to further their educations.

      Students located in the United States, Puerto Rico and Mexico are eligible for the CLASE Award. This scholarship may be used for study at the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) member institution in Mexico or abroad. Full-time undergraduate and/or undergraduate students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 and be enlisted at a HACU member or affiliate university.

    NSHMBA Scholarship Program

    • Full-time Hispanic students, who are in financial need and sustain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above, may qualify for NSHMBA (National Society of Hispanic MBA) awards. Monetary awards vary from $2,500 to $10,000 as of January 2011. The NSHMBA awards are renewable up to one year or until your master's degree coursework is complete. However, applicants have to maintain NSHMBA membership and remain active in the organization's mission and objectives.

    La Unidad Latina Foundation Awards

    • Graduate courses can be taken online.

      La Unidad Latina Foundation awards scholarships to Latino students who desire financial assistance and are presently working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in the United States. Students that have a 2.7 grade point average may qualify, however scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis. In addition, Hispanic students must have completed a minimum of one semester of higher education. Scholarships awards are as small as $250 and are as large as $1,000 as of 2011.
