The McLaren Regional Medical Center sponsors a scholarship program to pharmacy students interested in pursuing a career with the organization. Selected students enrolled in a core pharmacy degree program at an accredited college or university are eligible to receive up to $6,000 per year. In return, they must work for McLaren for one year for every year they receive funds.

The Minnesota Department of Health administers the Rural Pharmacist Scholarship Loan Program for pharmacy students who have an interest in working in underserved rural communities in Minnesota. The program provides scholarship funds of $16,000 per year up to a maximum of $64,000 to qualified students enrolled in pharmacy programs at accredited Minnesota colleges and universities. In return, students must commit to a minimum of three years of service on graduation.

The Student National Pharmaceutical Association provides scholarship awards to qualified student members enrolled in an accredited pharmacy or pre-pharmacy degree program. Scholarships are offered in conjunction with Rite-Aid, Wal-Mart and Walgreen's, and award amounts range from $1,000 to $2,000. Eligibility requirements vary for each award.

The American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education administers a scholarship program for pharmacy students who have an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in pharmacy. The National Association of Chain Drug Stores provides scholarship awards to pharmacy students who express an interest in pursuing a career as a pharmacist in a retail chain drug store. Applicants must have previous experience working in a retail chain drug store and be currently enrolled in at least their second year of an accredited doctor of pharmacy program. Individual scholarship awards range from $2,000 to $5,000.
