The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency provides scholarship money to environmental management majors through the National Network for Environmental Management Studies fellowship program. To be eligible, a student must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States, and must be pursuing research directly related to environmental protection or pollution control. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for support through the program. Undergraduates must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 to be eligible, and must have already completed at least four courses related to environmental studies. The Air and Waste Management Association makes scholarship money available to students of environmental management through its annual scholarship program. AWMA scholarships are typically awarded in amounts ranging between $1,400 and $7,500. According to the AWMA website, a student must be "pursuing courses of study and research leading to careers in air quality, waste, or sustainability/management pertaining to air quality or waste" to be eligible for an AWMA scholarship. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Marshall Scholarship Fund have partnered to offer international study scholarships to students conducting research related to the environment. EPA Marshall Scholarships will pay the full tuition costs of a U.S. student who wishes to pursue environmental research at a British institution. Students must be pursuing a graduate-level degree in order to be eligible. The EPA Marshall Scholarship will pay for two years of study abroad, and the EPA will pay for an additional three years of research based in either the United Kingdom or the United States.
