The Florida Funds for Minority Teachers gives scholarships to Hispanic and members of other minorities who are willing to become teachers in Florida. These scholarships (as of March 2010) are $4,000 per academic year; candidates may renew their scholarships for three consecutive years as long as they are enrolled full time and keep a 2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA).
Applicants must be accepted in a participating college or hold an Associate in Arts degree to be eligible. Applicants should not hold an undergraduate degree or should not have taken more than 18 hours of upper division credits prior to applying. The deadlines to apply are July 1 and November 15 for the fall and spring terms respectively.

The Jose Marti scholarship is a need-based and merit-based scholarship for Hispanic students in Florida who are in their senior year and who plan to apply to a private or public academic institution. Graduate students may apply, but the organization gives priority to students who apply in their senior year of high school.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be of Hispanic origin, be a Florida resident, enroll as a degree-seeking full-time student in a qualified post-secondary institution and hold a GPA of 3 on a scale of 4. Applicants should fill in and submit an application and also a financial aid form to demonstrate financial need. The scholarships are for $2,000 per academic year, as of March 2010, and the system renews them automatically every year as long as the students fulfill the academic standards.

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund provides financial aid to Latino students in the United States. Although its main office is in California, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund has given more than 82,000 scholarships to Latinos in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands.
This foundation has different scholarship programs such as the Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS), the Scholarship Program for Graduating High School Seniors, the Community College Transfer Scholarship Programs and University Alliance Scholarship Programs; they provide minority students with the financial resources to fulfill their post-secondary educational goals. Scholarship applicants are required to have a GPA of 3 on a scale of 4, be citizens or legal residents in the United States who are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, applying for financial aid and enrolling full time in college.
