Scholarships for Hispanic Undergraduates

Hispanic students continue to be an underrepresented population among U.S. colleges and universities and according to a report by the Pew Hispanic Center, money is often a primary factor. The prospect of paying for a college education when tuition costs are steadily increasing can be intimidating. Fortunately, there are a number of scholarship programs designed to increase the number of Hispanic students who enroll in college by reducing some of their financial burden.
  1. Hispanic Scholarship Fund General Scholarship

    • The Hispanic Scholarship Fund sponsors a number of scholarships for students at all stages of their academic career. The general scholarship program provides awards of $1,000 to $5,000 to students of Hispanic descent who are pursuing their first undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university in the U.S., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Guam. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be considered.
