    • The Hispanic Scholarship Fund is one of the largest and most well recognized organizations for Hispanics, according to the College Scholarships website. They match high school students with various scholarship opportunities. Eligibility requirements include being a graduating high school senior, being a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen, and having plans to enroll into a full-time two- or four-year program at an accredited United States postsecondary institution. Students must also apply for federal financial aid before applying for any of the scholarships. Eligibility requirements and deadlines vary by the type of scholarship.

    Latin American Educational Foundation Scholarship

    • This scholarship is open to students of Hispanic heritage, including Mexican Americans, Latinos and Puerto Ricans. Its purpose is to provide funding to students who have demonstrated commitment to their Hispanic communities. Eligibility requirements include having residency in the state of Colorado, being Hispanic or having involvement with the Hispanic community, planning to attend an accredited college or university in Colorado, having a 3.0 GPA and fulfilling ten hours of community service. Students must also submit completed applications, letters of recommendation and personal essays. The selection process is dependent upon financial need, academic achievement and personal interview of finalists. The deadline for this scholarship is March 15.

    Gates Millennium Scholarship

    • This scholarship program is open to minorities of African American, American Indian or Alaskan Native, Asian or Pacific Islander, and Hispanic American heritage. The Gates Millennium Scholarship program annually awards 1,000 students throughout the United States. Eligibility requirements include being a United States citizen, having a GPA of 3.3 or above, having demonstrated leadership abilities in the community, having met the Federal Pell Grant eligibility requirements and wanting to enroll in an accredited college or university. Applicants must complete three forms: Nominee Personal Information form, Nominator Form and Recommender Form.
