The Horatio Alger National Scholarship Program is open to all graduating high school students living in any state in the country. The Horatio Alger Scholarship targets high school students who have overcome hardships such as illness of a close friend or family member or parent divorce. The Horatio Alger National Scholarship Program also offers additional state programs in Georgia, California, Arizona, Virginia, Delaware and Maryland.
Graduating high school students are not required to attend college full-time to receive the Horatio Alger National Scholarship. Students can start at a two-year college and transfer to a four-year college under this scholarship program. The program awards graduating high school students 104 $20,000 scholarships each year. Each program requires students to have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.

The Jackie Robinson Foundation offers scholarships to graduating high school students of all minority groups. The Jackie Robinson Scholarship is named in honor of the first African-American Major League Baseball player in history, Jackie Robinson.
This foundation generally offers a $7,500 scholarship for college, which is renewable. The award is only for use at four-year accredited colleges, but the award can be renewed during the four-year term as long as the applicant meets acceptable academic requirements. All students are required to send SAT or ACT scores, transcripts and a letter of recommendation to:

The U.S. Bank Internet Scholarship is available to graduating high school students and current undergraduate students. U.S. Bank plans to award forty $1,000 scholarships. Students interested in the U.S. Bank Internet Scholarship must apply online.
