TrainingDivision.com offers EMT Basic and Paramedic programs delivered via the Blackboard e-learning system. The EMT Basic program provides instruction on how to handle various types of emergency situations using basic life support equipment and abilities, while the EMT Paramedic program provides more intensive instruction on handling medical emergencies. After completing the classroom components, students must travel to the Emergency Training Center in Crowley, Texas to complete an intensive hands-on learning session, where they're given the opportunity to demonstrate and master their abilities.
PERCOM offers EMT Basic, Intermediate and Paramedic courses that combine online instruction and hands-on training; upon completion, students are able to start hospital and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) clinical rotations in Texas. PERCOM also offers an EMT Basic clinic and skills testing (CAST) marathon course enables students to gain certification in 10 days of live training that follow the completion of the online EMT Basic course. All onsite training takes place in Katy, Texas.
National Medical Education and Training Center (NMETC) offers online EMT Basic and Paramedic programs that use current technology to deliver an interactive and flexible online program in a synchronous (fixed-time) format. Course lessons include PowerPoint presentations, handouts, audio and video clips, and various other important learning references. Students have the ability to interact with instructors and other students and all sessions are recorded. After completing the online coursework, students are required to travel to the main campus in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts for skills training.
EMT and Fire Training Incorporated offers online EMT Basic and Intermediate courses that are self-directed and provide 24-hour online access the learning management system and instructor helpdesk. The online learning platform includes recorded lectures, interactive activities, videos, quizzes and tests. Once students have completed the online classroom component, they're required to travel to the Hayden Lake, Idaho training center to complete five days of hands-on instruction. The EMT basic course includes a complete Health Care Provider CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Emergent Medical Technologies International offers an online EMT Basic course that's self-paced and includes online and hands-on components. The online component provides instruction on how to handle various medical emergencies, assess patients for signs and symptoms of injury and illness, and provide basic emergency care. The five-day hands-on Skills Boot Camp component is required after completion of the online coursework. The boot camp takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada and enables students to gain EMT field abilities.
