The Race for Education Winner's Circle Scholarship program provides education funding to veterinary students who are in their third year of study at an accredited veterinary college. The program is designed for those students who plan to specialize in equine veterinary care and who are active members in their student chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. The program provides scholarships of $1,500 to selected students and recipients may also qualify to receive an additional $3,500 if they qualify for grant funding through Race for Education.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) sponsors the Saul T. Wilson, Jr. Scholarship for graduate students who are enrolled in their first year of a veterinary medicine program. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited veterinary program and be able to participate in paid internships with the USDA during summer and holiday breaks. Selected students may receive up to $10,000 per year for up to four years of study and in exchange, recipients must agree to work with the USDA for a minimum of one year after completing their degree.

The American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) Scholarship is offered to outstanding veterinary medicine students enrolled at an accredited veterinary college in the United States. The $1,000 scholarships are available to students enrolled in their first, second or third year of study and students who plan to pursue traditional and nontraditional veterinary careers are encouraged to apply. The Foundation also sponsors the Pfizer Animal Health Veterinary Student Scholarship, which provides awards of $2,500 to outstanding second and third year veterinary students.

The U.S. Army Veterinary Corps Health Professions Scholarship is available to veterinary medicine students who are interested in becoming part of the U.S. Army Reserve. The program provides full tuition and fees as well as a monthly living stipend for full-time students who meet the eligibility requirements to become a commissioned officer in the Army Reserve. Students who participate in the program are also eligible to receive salary as a Second Lieutenant for approximately six weeks of every school year. Recipients must participate in a forty-five day training period while in school and are required to commit to three years of active duty service after graduation.
