Scholarships for International College Students

Scholarships for international students who are interested in studying at a United States university can be difficult to secure. There are only a small number of schools and organizations that give funding to international students. However, some organizations that want to promote cross-cultural exchange and international education do give scholarships, especially to graduate students.
  1. AAUW International Fellowships

    • The American Association of University Women (AAUW) aims to support girls and women through education, advocacy and research. They work with over 500 colleges and universities to help women achieve their educational goals. Each year, they offer three scholarships for international women students. These include a Master's Fellowship for $18,000, a Doctorate Fellowship for $20,000 and a Postdoctoral Fellowship for $30,000. Students must have residency in a country other than the United States and must be planning on studying at an accredited U.S. university. Funding can be used toward tuition and other educational costs.
