The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association Educational Fund provides annual scholarships to part-time students who are working toward degrees in fields associated with the mission of the AFCEA, including engineering, physics, mathematics, or computer science. The AFCEA Scholarship For Working Professionals is awarded in the amount of $2,000. Both undergraduate and graduate students may qualify for this award. In order to be eligible, a student must be enrolled in school part-time, and must be employed. Students must be U.S. citizens, and must have a GPA of at least 3.0. The Golden Key International Honour Society offers scholarship funds through its GEICO Lfe Scholarships. These scholarships are perfect for part-time students because one of the criteria for eligibility is that a candidate balance family and/or career while attending school. Golden Key awards ten of these scholarships annually in the amount of $1,000. Students must be members of the Golden Key International Honour Society in order to be eligible. Students must also be enrolled in an undergraduate program of study, and must have completed a minimum of 12 credits since returning to school. The American Dental Hygienist's Association Institute for Oral Health provides financial assistance to part-time dental hygiene students by offering Part-Time Scholarships valued at $1,000. Students must be enrolled on a part-time basis to qualify for the award, and must be carrying a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Students must also fill out a FAFSA to demonstrate a financial need of $1,500 or greater, and be attending school in the United States. Lastly, prospective applicants must be a member of either the ADHA or the Student ADHA in order to be eligible for these scholarships. The annual deadline for application is February 1.
