Travel Scholarships for College Students

Travel scholarships are useful resources to help fund studying abroad tuition costs for college students. According to MarketWatch.com, a semester abroad will always be more expensive than a semester on campus. College students who participate in study-abroad programs increased substantially between 2000 and 2010. The Institute of International Education reports an 8.5 percent rise of college students participating in study abroad programs during the 2007--08 academic year. Travel scholarship eligibility varies based on qualifications such as a desire to live abroad, financial need, academic performance and foreign language proficiency.
