Grants for LPN Nursing School

Licensed practical nurses, or LPNs, care for patients alongside doctors and registered nurses in hospitals, nursing care facilities and other medical settings. They may monitor patients’ vital signs, provide basic bedside care and assist with tests and procedures. Technical schools, vocational schools and community colleges offer LPN training programs that typically require a year to complete and prepare students to take the National Council Licensure Exam. Several organizations offer grants and scholarships to offset the cost of LPN education.
  1. Kansas Nursing Service Scholarship

    • The Kansas Nursing Service Scholarship is available to LPN students in Kansas who commit to working in a hospital or other medical care facility in Kansas after graduation. Applicants must obtain sponsorship from a facility that will fund part of the scholarship and employ the applicant full-time after licensure. Students may receive up to $2,500 each year, and the scholarship is renewable. Recipients must work for the sponsoring employer one year for each year of scholarship support.
