The Native American Scholarship Fund operates the Catching the Dream scholarship program, which encompasses three scholarship awards ranging from $500 to $5,000. The MESBEC program is designated for students who are pursuing degrees in six specific fields: math, engineering, science, business, education and computers. The Native American Leadership Education scholarship is available to Native American students who plan to pursue careers as educators in tribal schools. The Gates Millennium Scholar Program is open to American Indian students and Native Alaskans who are interested in pursuing degrees in fields related to technology such as science, engineering and mathematics. The program provides selected students with up to $40,000 in scholarship funding; all applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited four-year college or university. Applicants must demonstrate a high level of academic achievement as well as a significant financial need.

The Accenture Scholarship program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students who are of American Indian or Native Alaskan descent. Selected undergraduate students will receive up to $20,000 in scholarship funding, while qualifying graduate students may receive up to $15,000. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic merit, leadership skills and a demonstrated commitment to preserving the values and culture of their heritage.

The American Indian College Fund sponsors several scholarship programs for Native American students who are attending tribal colleges as well as mainstream colleges and universities. The Indian Health Service administers three scholarship programs for Native American and Native Alaskan students who are interested in careers in the health professions. Scholarships are available for both undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in two- and four-year programs in health professions, including dentistry, environmental health, medicine, nursing and pharmacy. The amount of funding available is dependent on the recipient's chosen course of study and some scholarships may require a period of service after graduation in exchange for education funding.
