Programs for Nursing Practitioners

If you already have a nursing degree and are exploring how to take your education and experience further, the field of nurse practitioning may be of interest. Nurse practitioners are employed in hospitals, rehab center, doctors' offices and clinics to help patients communicate with doctors, provide care and possibly even contribute to a shorter length of stay at the facility. Studying to become a nurse practitioner occurs after you've earned a bachelor's degree in nursing (some schools require applicants to also hold a master's degree in nursing). Schools offer a variety of nurse practitioner programs across the country.
