Nurse Practitioner Programs in Ohio

A nurse practitioner is a licensed medical professional who independently diagnoses and prescribes treatment to patients. Practitioners tend to specialize in one field of medicine, such as acute care or pediatrics.

To become a nurse practitioner, a graduate degree is necessary. A few universities in Ohio offer such programs, preparing registered nurses for careers as practitioners in a variety of specialties.
