Nurse Practitioner Programs in Wisconsin

Nurse practitioners are registered nurses who complete an additional program equal to a master's or doctorate degree. They prescribe medications, diagnose patients, perform physical exams and order diagnostic testing. They specialize in a particular area such as neonatal or acute care. After completing a nurse practitioner program, students must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses examination. Wisconsin provides these programs at both the master's and doctorate level.
