  1. University of North Alabama

    • Founded in 1830, the University of North Alabama was Alabama's first state-chartered college. It houses approximately 7,100 students and has over 50,000 alumni. The University of North Alabama offers over 60 undergraduate programs and seven master's degree programs through four academic colleges: the College of Business, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Nursing and Allied Health and College of Education. The average class size is 25 students, and most faculty members hold a doctoral degree in their field. The University of North Alabama is committed to providing meaningful learning opportunities for students using instruction, research and service activities. It is also dedicated to providing a diverse amount of outreach activities to enhance the education of all students and improve the region's economic development.

    • Northeast Alabama Community College (NACC) is one of the South's leading community colleges.
