For prospective students in Birmingham, the Alabama Community College System is committed to facilitating affordable access to academic education, adult continuing education and workforce development through the schools in its system. Alabama Community College System provides general education to students planning to transfer into a four-year institution; adult education focused on improving individuals' current skill sets; and workforce development via specialized training programs.
