Junior Community Colleges

Junior colleges, also known more commonly now as community colleges, are two year post-secondary schools that help to prepare students for a career or further education. Many students attend junior college because their grades were too low for a four-year institution. Students also attend junior college because the cost is less than a four-year institution. Often students, after their two years in junior college, now have the academic and financial means to attend a university or college.
