Virginia College has campuses in several states. Virginia College at Huntsville is located on Bob Wallace Avenue Southwest in Huntsville. It specializes in associate's degrees, but it does offer bachelor's programs, as well. A full list of over 45 of the programs that the school offers is located on its webpage (see Resources). The college is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) and has a Financial Department to help potential students decide how to pay for school. Grants, loans and scholarships are common forms of payment at Virginia College, and the staff work closely with the students to decide which of these options is the best option for each individual.

Calhoun Community College has a campus in Huntsville and in nearby Decatur, Alabama. These colleges offer virtually the same programs, including but not limited to: adult education, computer and office systems, and business administration. This Huntsville school offer classes that are designed to specialize in a trade, such as aerospace technology, design drafting, machine tool technology, air conditioning and refrigeration, robotics, industrial maintenance and electrical technology. They have medical field programs, including a nursing program as well as a dental assistant program, an EMS program and a massage therapy program. This college also has athletics, such as basketball, baseball and softball. Pell grants, loans and scholarships are all acceptable forms of payment at this campus.

ITT Technical Institute is located in Madison, approximately 15 minutes outside of the Huntsville area. This college offers programs in expanding fields of study, including but not limited to web development, electronics, computer drafting, criminal justice and some health sciences. The emphasis in this college is placed on educating men and women in the growing fields of technical careers. These programs of study include on line studies, associates degree studies, and bachelor degree studies specific to the criminal justice, nursing, construction, visual communications, game design, computer engineering, software engineering, and graphic design, to mention just a few. Classes are held year round to offer the potential student a more flexible schedule than the more traditional 4-year universities.
