The admissions process consists of an application, receipt of previous college transcripts and placement testing. South University is a private college and does not charge out-of-state tuition to nonresidents of Alabama. This college is on a quarter-hour system with courses being 11 weeks long if taken on campus and 5.5 weeks long if taken online.

This college offers associate degree programs in accounting, automotive, drafting, medical assisting, welding and more. Trenholm also offers a variety of certificate and continuing education courses within these same fields of study. It is the policy of the college to admit students who meet the admissions criteria without regard to race, religion, creed, national origin or age.     • Prince Institute of Professional Studies offers associate degree programs in judicial reporting, webcasting, captioning, communication access, xcoping and proofreading. Courses may be taken at the campus, on line or a combination of both. Prospective students should have a high school diploma or General Education Development certificate. A representative of the college will meet with interested parties and provide a tour of the campus.     • Virginia College at Montgomery offers associate degree programs in accounting, administrative office management, animation and game design, nursing, business administration, computer-aided drafting, criminal justice, culinary arts, interior design and medical assisting, to name a few.
