Monroe Community College is located in Monroe, Mich., which is approximately 30 minutes south of Detroit. This community college offers a 38 credit practical nursing certificate program. Monroe Community College's practical nursing program is three semesters long and includes both lecture and clinical hours. Students who successfully complete the program will be able to sit for the state license exam. Class space for Monroe's practical nursing program is limited due to a high number of applicants and small class size, so having a high GPA in biology and English, as well as being an in-state student, will increase your chances of acceptance. Financial assistance is available to those who qualify.
