LPN Programs in Detroit

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics expects the field of practical nursing to increase 21 percent from 2008 to 2018. This increase in employment opportunities has fueled the desire of many people to apply to practical nursing programs. Licensed practical nurses are health care professionals who provide basic bedside nursing care to patients such as taking vital signs to running laboratory tests. To become a licensed practical nurse in Michigan, you need to complete a practical nursing program such as the ones offered at Davenport University, Monroe Community College and Schoolcraft College, as well as pass the state exam.
