CNA Programs in Sacramento

Sacramento offers both public and private options for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training. CNAs work in hospitals and nursing-care facilities to offer hands-on care to patients. This physically demanding position provides opportunities to develop caring relationships with patients, particularly in long-term residential facilities. The federal government requires CNAs to complete 75 hours of training approved by the state and to pass a competency examination. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts 18 percent growth in employment opportunities for CNAs between 2008 and 2018.
