CNA Programs in Rhode Island

The Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training predicts that the demand for nurse assistants in the state will increase by more than 20 percent from 2006 through 2016. To work in a hospital or long-term-care facility that receives payments from Medicare, prospective nurse assistants must receive licensure as a certified nurse assistant. Completion of a post-secondary education program in the field is necessary to receive this license. A small number of schools in Rhode Island offer such courses of study.
