CNA Programs in Victoria, Texas

Attending classes to become a Certified Nursing Assistant is a quick but not easy road. It takes a compassionate, patient and dedicated person to correctly perform the duties of a CNA. Besides the four to 12 week program, a state board exam must also be passed by the student. This is a great career option for nursing students, workers who need flexible schedules or any caretaker that finds joy in the healthcare industry. Most positions will be in nursing homes, but other opportunities are in hospitals, home care and private practices. The course length and cost depend on the institution.
  1. Victoria College

    • Victoria College offers a state-approved 160-hour program to become a CNA. Acceptance into the program does not guarantee a position with a facility or a passing grade on the state exam. The class is broken down into 80 hours of classroom time and 80 hours of clinical time. The clinicals are important to give students real experience directly following their studies. The program takes about three months to complete and costs $175 as of February 2010. Once accepted into the program, students will have access to financial aid, tutors and the K.E.Y. Center. The K.E.Y. Center is a grant program that supports first generation and low income college students with study aids and community activities.
