Florida CNA Training Programs

The Agency for Workforce Innovation predicts that the demand for nurse assistants in the state of Florida will increase by more than 20 percent from 2009 to 2017. Hospitals and long-term care facilities who receive payments from Medicare must require all nurse assistants to have licensure as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). To receive this license, prospective CNAs must compelte a training program approved by the Florida Department of Health. A number of such programs are available in the state.
