Sacramento CNA Training Programs

The California Employment Development Department estimates the demand for nursing aides in Sacramento County will increase by more than 31 percent from 2006 through 2016. Nursing aides who work in facilities that receive reimbursement from Medicare must hold a license as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) under federal government requirements, explains the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. To receive a license in the state of California, prospective CNAs must complete a training program approved by the Department of Health Services. A small number of such programs are in the Sacramento area.
