Redstone College has an aircraft mechanic training program for airframes and power plants. Students can complete this program and be ready for certification in as little as 18 months of study. This program has a hands-on approach that is delivered through simulation techniques. Courses include topics such as aircraft electricity, aircraft systems, reciprocating engines, propellers and exhaust systems and aviation maintenance procedures.

The Motorcycle Mechanics Institute is associated with the Universal Technical Institute and offers a motorcycle technology training program that teaches students how to work on motorcycles. The core program consists of 36 weeks of instruction and teaches students about motorcycle engines, electrical systems, fuel systems and noise diagnosis. After a student has completed the core curriculum, he chooses a concentration area in which to complete his studies; choices include specializations such as Honda HonTech and Harley-Davidson Late or Early Model Training.

WyoTech has a marine specialist program that teaches students the mechanics of working on watercraft engines. The curriculum in this program consists of four core courses along with two additional courses in a specialization area. Students choose between the advanced marine concentration and the off-road power concentration. The four core courses include vessel power transmission, outboard engine propulsion systems, inboard engine propulsion systems and diesel engines, power generation and marine electronics.
