Ashworth, first established in 1987, offers a program for aspiring electricians that begins by laying a strong foundation in essential power concepts before teaching specific wiring and installation techniques. The curriculum is comprised of 14 separate lessons that focus on areas such as electrical power systems, circuitry, measuring current, wiring, safety and repair. Each lesson begins with a preview of the subject matter, an introductory note from the instructor, and a glossary of new words and terms. Because this training can be done online, it provides greater schedule flexibility for working students.
