• Ashworth College provides an online electrician training program that will help students earn a career diploma upon finishing the program. The school's website says students will learn about specific wiring techniques, installation techniques, electrical power systems and more. The program is outlined into 14 lessons that students can take online. The lessons include some of the following: electrical energy theory, circuits, safety and tools, wiring systems, boxes and conductors, light commercial and mobile home wiring, motors and motor controls and more. All textbooks and study materials are included in the student's tuition. Penn Foster Career School

• Penn Foster Career School provides an electrician program that will enable students to receive a career diploma. Penn Foster's program is broken into 11 "Instruction Sets." The school's website say students will receive an instruction set which includes lesson plans, exercises, learning aids and equipment. Once a student completes the lessons and passes the exams, the next instruction set will follow. The equipment provides hands-on learning. According to the school's website, students will learn wiring electrical components, electrical safety, the nature of electricity, properties and characteristics of conductors, electric heating, electrical blueprint reading and much more.

Stratford Career Institute

• The electrician program at Stratford Career Institute is broken into six modules. At the end of the program students will achieve a career diploma. Each module contains lesson plans and study aids to help students. Online exams are a part of the modules. The school's website lists the different topics that electrician students will learn: electrical theory and calculations, electrical symbols and drawings, panels, codes and requirements, switches, motors, low-voltage systems, transformers and more. Books and study aids are all included in the tuition.
