The electrician program provides training in a wide range of skills needed for employment in residential, commercial or industrial sectors. These skills include commercial wiring, industrial controls, power distribution, electricity theory, computer-based technology and more. In addition to technical skills, Wyotech teaches the communication and interpersonal skills students need to succeed in the industry. Potential careers following this program include bench electrician, repair electrician, production electrician and industrial maintenance electrician. Most students can complete their Wyotech education in less than 16 months, attending classes five days a week for eight hours.

Learn how to install, reconfigure, repair and maintain a wide range of electrical systems with training and education at Everest College. Students begin the program with a knowledge base in commercial electric systems, national standards and electricity theory. They will continue on to study more advanced blueprints, learn about power distribution and understand motors and current protection. Finally, students complete the final quarter with advanced concepts and industrial and computer-based controls. Classes are distributed over three quarters for about a year-and-a-half of full-time study.
