Medical Certification Schools in Brevard County, Florida

Known as Florida's Space Coast, the Brevard County area is located about a half-hour drive towards the east from Orlando, Florida. In order to gain admittance to Keiser University at an undergraduate level, you must prove that you have successfully completed high school or the general education development (GED) equivalent. You also need transcripts from the schools you have attended and scores for either the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), with a 1430 minimum combined score, or the American College Testing (ACT), with a minimum of 17 composite score.

    Florida Medical Training Institute

    • The Florida Medical Training Institute has a campus in the city of Melbourne. Certification programs at the school include firefighting, emergency medical technician, electrocardiography (EKG) technician, and nursing assistance. In order to gain admission to the programs at the school you must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident, be at least 18 years old or older and have graduated high school or have your GED.

    • Brevard Community College has various locations throughout Brevard County including Cocoa, Melbourne, Palm Bay, Titusville and the Spaceport Center. This Space Coast college offers both vocational certifications and associate degrees in many fields. The medical certification programs include a certification program in medical information and coding, medical laboratory technology, medical clinical lab technology and radiography.
