Short Dental Assistant Programs

Dental assistants are specially trained health care professionals that work under the supervision of licensed dentists. They are responsible for duties such as sterilizing equipment, taking x-rays and filling out medical records. To become a dental assistant, you must complete a training program and pass the national exam. Most programs last a year or more, but there are some that are less than a year long. Short training programs include the ones at Remington College, Pima Medical College and ACT College.
