The dental assisting program at Tulsa Community College, in conjunction with Tulsa Technology Center, offers students the opportunity to gain an advanced general education as well as focus on a dental assistant career path. The program consists of three parts: 28 hours of general education requirements, including mathematics, social sciences and speech, 20 credit hours in specialized dental assisting and dental-related courses as well as 14 elective credit hours. Dental assisting courses for the program are offered at the Tulsa Technology Center while general education courses are taken at Tulsa Community College.

Community Care College offers students a variety of different options in the dental assisting field. Students can get a diploma in dental assisting by completing a 32-week program totaling 720 hours. There is also the option of receiving an Associate of Occupational Science Degree with a focus on dental assisting. This option has two different programs available, each totaling 1,070 hours of educational training via classroom and hands-on. Students have the option of taking general education classes as well as dental assisting courses on campus in a 62-week span, or students can take their general education courses online and dental courses on campus. The second option takes a little longer, lasting approximately 72 weeks.

Moore Norman Technology Center offers a certified dental assistant program which takes nine months for full-time students to complete (1,080 hours total). Full-time or part-time course schedules are available to fit even the busiest student's lifestyle. Coursework focuses on areas such as oral health, infection control and foundations of clinical dentistry. The program offers students not only the opportunity to gain a working knowledge through classroom education but also through hands-on clinical experience. Students are encouraged to speak with a career advisor or tech representative in regards to any prerequisites which may be required as well as current rates and part-time student options
