The University of Arizona College of Nursing's BSN accelerated pathway in Tucson is for students who have earned an undergraduate degree and want to enter the nursing field. The program lasts for 14 months; at completion students are eligible to take the state's licensure examination. Two types of students enter the program: sponsored and non-sponsored. Tucson area health care agencies provide full tuition to sponsored students who enter into an employment commitment and work for an organization for at least three years after they graduate. Non-sponsored students can apply for financial aid from the university. All students must complete math and science prerequisites with a minimum 3.0 GPA before entering the program, which is limited to United States citizens and permanent residents.

The University of Central Florida's College of Nursing offers an accelerated BSN program that students can complete in just four semesters. The curriculum is demanding as intensive classes are mixed in with clinical practice in local health facilities. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination, the initial test required before nurses take state-licensing exams. In order to apply for the program, students must attend an information session at the Orlando campus. Nine science prerequisites are required for the program and students must complete seven of them before beginning the program.

Students in the University of Louisville's School of Nursing's accelerated second degree program generally complete the program over two semesters and two summers, usually 15 months. Students must complete nine science, two math and two humanities prerequisites in the university's lower division prior to beginning BSN course work. BSN classes are in the upper division. Interested applicants must attend a one-hour, informational workshop in order to apply for the program.
