RN to BSN Online Programs in Oklahoma

Public and private universities in Oklahoma offer registered nurses the opportunity to enroll in baccalaureate degree completion programs. Students can take traditional on-campus classes or learn via online programs. Obtaining a bachelor of science in nursing gives RNs the opportunity to increase their job options, have more advancement potential and earn more money.

    • The University of Oklahoma's College of Nursing offers a RN to BSN track among its undergraduate programs. Students can complete the program in as little as nine months. Classes are held on Saturdays to accommodate the schedules of working students at the university's Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City as well as on satellite campuses in Tulsa and Lawton. Part-time study is also available and students can mix their studies with on-site classes and online courses. All students must hold an Oklahoma nursing license, meet the prerequisite class requirements before beginning the program and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.50.

    Southwestern Oklahoma State University

    • Students with an associate degree in nursing can gain advanced standing in Southwestern Oklahoma State University's (SWOSU) RN to BSN program and reduce the amount of time to earn the undergraduate degree. All students must have a 2.25 GPA for all previous college classes and a valid Oklahoma nursing license. Students must be admitted to SWOSU before applying to the RN to BSN program. Upon acceptance, each student is assigned to a faculty advisor to design a plan of study. Classes are delivered online via the Desire2Learn.com platform.

    Oklahoma City University

    • Oklahoma City University is a private university associated with the United Methodist Church. The school's Kramer School of Nursing's RN to BSN program has an open admissions policy and accepts all students who meet the minimum eligibility requirements. Students must have a 2.5 GPA, be a licensed RN, have an associate degree and submit scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) if English is not their native language. Classes meet one half day per week for students at the Oklahoma City campus. Online classes are also offered. A unique feature of the program is its Educational Mobility Program. Each August OCU takes it program on the road and holds classes for students who live in rural areas of the state.
