The University of Florida has an online degree program in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences that leads students to earn a Master of Science degree with a concentration in forensic science. This program is designed for individuals who are currently working in or those who seek employment in police departments, crime laboratories, medical examiners offices and criminal defense and prosecution attorneys. Students in this program can expect to take courses that include biological evidence and serology, forensic toxicology, principles of forensic science and scientific evidence and statistics. Florida International University has an online Master of Science in forensic science program. This program is designed to prepare students to begin their careers in forensic science laboratories at local, state and national levels. The program can also prepare students who are interested in doctoral instruction. Students must already be employed within the field and obtain approval from the director of their laboratory in order to perform research at their laboratory. Students will take courses that include forensic biology, forensic chemistry, forensic analysis and forensic toxicology. Students will also take courses that include human genetics, population genetics and chemometrics.
