Earn a master of science in human nutrition through the University of Bridgeport's online program. The program may be completed on your own schedule (there is no requirement to be online at a certain time or day) and comprises classes such as biochemistry of nutrition, clinical biochemistry, developmental nutrition, nutritional therapeutics, pathophysiologic basis of metabolic diseases, botanical medicine and evidence-based nutrition. All students complete a one-day comprehensive exam held on the Bridgeport campus prior to graduation.
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree (any major may apply, but students should have completed coursework in basic nutrition, biochemistry and human anatomy). Two letters of recommendation and a personal statement are also required.

Hawthorn University offers two online master's degrees in nutrition: the master's in holistic nutrition and the master's in health and nutrition education. Students interested in speeding up their education may enroll in Hawthorn's accelerated program, to be completed in two years. Topics of study include biochemical individuality and whole foods nutrition, macronutrients, dietary assessment of nutrient values, biochemical regulators, maintaining the structural body, cardiovascular nutrition and filtering systems of the human body.
All applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, undergraduate transcripts (any major) and a copy of their driver's license. Students must have access to the Internet and an email address.

The Saint Joseph College master's degree in nutrition involves online learning with coursework topics such as health education concepts, nutritional therapy for eating disorders, sports nutrition and supplement savvy. All students will conduct a master's thesis or research project. The college permits students to attend either part or full time, with a maximum enrollment of six years to completion.
Students interested in the program must have a bachelor's degree in nutrition or another closely related science field with a minimum grade point average of 2.5, plus physiology, biochemistry and basic nutrition courses. Students who did not major in nutrition but have a strong science background may also be considered. Two letters of recommendation are required; no graduate record exam scores are necessary.
