    • The Department of Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University provides a combination of classroom and fieldwork training to earn the skills to practice as an occupational therapist. The school offers a Master of Science in occupational therapy, with class sizes of approximately 15 to 20 students. Courses include occupation and rehabilitation science, occupational performance and research to practice. You participate in a number of fieldwork experiences each semester to learn hands-on skills.     Howard University

    • Located in Washington, D.C., Howard University offers a Master of Science in occupational therapy program that combines research, training and hands-on learning to prepare you for a career. In addition to coursework, you participate in internships and fieldwork and are required to complete two research projects before graduation. Courses include musculoskeletal anatomy, pediatrics in OT, clinical neuroscience, principals of disease, life and aging, and health and wellness. The tuition and fees are $11,000 per semester as of the 2010-11 academic year. Scholarships and additional financial aid options are available.

    Medical College of Georgia

    • The Department of Occupational Therapy at the Medical College of Georgia has three goals: to educate; to discover; and to care. This program focuses on discovering new methods and providing quality patient care. You must complete a minimum of 32 fieldwork hours before graduation. Courses include foundations and therapeutic occupations, occupational adaptations, applied kinesiology, movement analysis, mental health programming, adult and pediatric evaluation and intervention, contemporary interventions and musculoskeletal anatomy.
