Its medical degree programs provide an array of specialty options, including an M.D. in Public Health or Health Sciences.
All medical programs at Yale University will require an undergraduate degree and the completion of core classes. Medical programs usually last four years, although students may go at their own pace. My students opt to spend a fifth year doing research.
Necessary courses include credits in laboratory sciences, English composition and math. Students must also complete a thesis. Clinical hours play a large part in medical education, and all students must complete a set number prior to graduation. Clinical hours are spent on the floor working with patients, while the student is supervised by a physician.

Specialties include allergy and immunology, geriatric medicine, and infectious disease. The campus provides an extensive web of technological support and several options to participate in research while still in school.
All medical programs at Queen's University will include extensive training in the laboratory sciences, including biology and physics, in addition to courses in communications, composition and ethics. Lab and clinic hours play a fundamental role in medical education. To help gain hands-on experience, students are required to spend time in the Clinical Education Centre and the Patient Simulation Lab. These institutions provide guided practice on theoretical situations and help develop bedside manner and technical skills while working with patients.
