Canadian Accredited Medical Schools

Canada has 17 accredited medical schools, most of which offer degrees on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Undergraduate students will gain a general knowledge of medicine, preparing them to work as undifferentiated doctors, meaning they have not yet studied in an area of specialization. Postgraduate programs allow students to concentrate on one specialization and become experts in that area. All accredited medical schools in Canada receive their accreditation through the Liaison Committee on Medical Education.
