The Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences offers students clinical training and exposure to innovative learning and technology. The college has introduced programs in women's health, environmental medicine and pediatrics. These new programs are based upon the naturopathic methods of nutrition, botanical and physical medicine, homeopathy and acupuncture.

The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto serves more than 26,000 patients a year. It offers a four-year doctor of naturopathic medicine program. The school is associated with the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic. Students attending the school have access to and learn about a wide variety of alternative medicines. The program includes more than 1,200 hours of clinical work and 3,000 hours of classroom training. There are three major areas of study: biomedical, clinical and naturopathic therapeutics.

The Bastyr University School of Naturopathic Medicine has a reputation for research and offers both an undergraduate and graduate program. Its facilities are LEED-platinum certified (making its facilities the greenest possible). Students can choose to live on or off campus. It is the largest natural health clinic in the Northwest. The school offers doctorate degrees in acupuncture and oriental medicine.

Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine was formed in 2000 and offers students smaller class sizes along with a culture of mentorship and an atmosphere of innovative research. The school has two doctorate programs, both in naturopathic medicine. One program is four years (30 hours a week); the other is six years (20 hours a week).
