• The University of Florida is one of the top five largest public universities in the United States. The University of Florida does not have a specific pre-med curriculum but they do have a pre-health advising team. The pre-health advising team assists students in picking their major, ensures they are taking the required courses and medical school test and helps students apply for medical school at the correct time. Your pre-health adviser is the go-to person for all questions related to medical school. Advising is open to all students wishing to go on to medical, pharmacy, veterinary, dentistry and chiropractic school.

University of California at Los Angeles

• University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) offers students a strong academic education that is respected throughout the world. UCLA offers students pre-health and pre-med advising. Counselors assist students with picking the appropriate classes and majors in order to get into medical school. Counselors are also available to make sure students stay on track with taking the required medical school tests and applying to medical school at the correct time. UCLA also offers seminars that will help students be better prepared to take their medical school exams and help them successfully fill out medical school applications.

University of California at Berkeley

• Since there is no set major in order to apply for medical school, the University of California at Berkeley does not offer a pre-med program. Berkeley does offer a bioengineering program that prepares students for medical school. The bioengineering program at Berkeley satisfies all the prerequisites for medical school. There are also counselors available to all students in order to stay on track for medical school. One of the first steps when starting your education at Berkeley is to inform the counseling department that you plan on going to medical school. The counselors at Berkeley will assist you in making sure all requirements are fulfilled prior to applying for medical school.
