    • The UC San Francisco School of Medicine, located in Parnassus Heights, has 11 facilities in the San Francisco area designated for medical research and studies. The school offers a medical scientist program, M.D and Ph.D. degrees and medical research and general care programs. According to "U.S. News & World Report," UCSF ranks fourth among medical research schools in the country and fifth best in primary care training.
