Strayer University has a number of campuses throughout the United States, and the one in Lexington provides a number of degrees in the criminology field. Strayer offers an associate's degree in arts in criminal justice, as well as bachelor's of science in criminal justice with multiple concentrations, including computer security and forensics, criminal justice administration, homeland security and emergency management, and homeland security technology.
Students complete general education credits for a well-rounded education and then complete courses geared toward their concentrations, including U.S. Courts, Comparative Criminal Justice, and Law Enforcement Operations and Management, among others. The intention is to prepare graduates to enter the field of criminology as public servants, private sector employees or combatants against cyber crime.

The ITT Technical Institute campus in Louisville features a school of criminal justice that offers a number of majors in criminology. ITT Tech offers a bachelor's of science degree in criminal justice, as well as an associate's of applied science in both criminal justice and paralegal studies.
The bachelor's degree for criminal justice is designed to help students enter a career as a law enforcement official, in corrections, private investigation or other security fields. The class include an intensive block of core courses related to the criminology field, including classes focusing on government, victimology, juvenile justice and homeland security.
The associate's of applied science degrees focus more on the technical aspects, studying record keeping, forensics and interviewing techniques, as well as paralegal duties, responsibilities and laws.

Sullivan University has campus locations in Lexington and Louisville and both offer degrees in criminology. Both campuses participate in Sullivan's School of Justice and Public Safety Administration, which designs programs to prepare students for careers in law enforcement, corrections, social services and emergency management.
Courses focus on the legal and technical aspects of criminology, and also on psychology and conflict resolution to prepare students to work with the victims and criminals they will encounter in the field of criminology.

Eastern Kentucky University, located in Richmond, offers a number of degrees in criminal justice, including a bachelor of science and a master of science. The school also offers a bachelor of science in police studies and online courses for correctional and juvenile justice studies, youth worker, correctional intervention strategies and correctional leadership.
The curriculum at Eastern Kentucky focuses on critical thinking, ethics and communication skills that will help students advance in careers in criminal justice. The criminal justice major at Northern Kentucky University is designed to help students prepare for further education, careers and even law school. The program is combined with courses in political science, public administration and international studies to give students a wide variety of experiences that can aid them in law enforcement, corrections or legal studies.
